Alec shot two crew members -- a director (who is injured) and a cinematographer who was killed.
Per an arms specialist in the article above:
"Never point a gun at the crew". "The blanks that we use on movie sets they are crimped casings so there can never be any kind of projectile involved."
So, was this a real gun with real bullets? Or a real gun fitted with non-standard blanks that contain projectiles? Since the movie was a western, this must be a single action gun. How did two people get shot with one bullet? Very odd story indeed.
